No Voice:
This painting is a reaction to the Cease and Desist notices sent to Aboriginal Businesses and Artists, telling them to stop using the Aboriginal Flag. The business sending these is the exclusive copyright holder of our flag are also the same company that was exposed for selling fake Aboriginal Art made overseas. Yet another example of Non-Aboriginal People stealing from our people. I’d be more than happy to offer Uncle Harold Thomas royalties from using his design however I would not be happy paying a non-Aboriginal business a cent for my work. The Flag is of our people, for our people. The reason for the Words NO VOICE is also based around the rights of exposing the truth which the ABC were recently raided for, we as Australians have no voice in our country and less right than we are lead to believe
