Acknowledgement of Country: This painting is based on where I live and not where I come from. It is aimed at our written language being art not words. The Whale in the middle depicts Sydney rock engravings, and how they were created to be viewed by the Ancestors. The designs around the whale represent many nations of different languages and cultures coming together in Sydney and acknowledging the Eora Nation’s country. As Wiradjuri Woman I feel honored to live on Eora Country and Acknowledge it every day
